We work closely with the folks at Critical Aero Design and are pleased to offer their line of VW styling products.
C.A.D. parts are manufactured in Austin, Texas, and are available in either high-quality urethane, FRP or gloss Carbon Fiber Materials.
Mk5 FLARES: Originally designed for racing applications, this bolt-on flare kit is for the Mk5 GTI, Golf, and US Rabbit (2-door models only*). These will add about 55mm clearance in front and 35mm clearance in the rear. Constructed of durable FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic), the flares are shipped primed and ready for paint.
Installation hardware is included, but professional installation is recommended. To make use of the wider flares both the front and rear fenders will have to be cut out, but how much will depend on your suspension and wheel/tire setup.
*Fitment on the 4-door Rabbit, GTI, and Jetta is possible but will require modifications to the rear flares.
Mk7 GLI FRONT SPLITTER* and JETTA/GLI REAR SPOILER: are the same parts we used for our Volkswagen Enthusiast Fleet GLI collaboration project with VW of America and fifteen52.
The GLI front splitter is made of high-quality FRP or hand-laid and vacuum-bagged Carbon Fiber. FRP parts come with a black gel-coat finish ready for priming and paint.
The Jetta/GLI rear spoiler is made of high quality urethane and requires some typical finishing as well priming/painting.
*Front splitter fits Mk7 GLI models only and is not compatible with other Mk7 Jetta models
Mk7 GTI/R REAR WING EXTENSION and FENDER FLARES: are the same parts we used for our 2017 SEMA collaboration with VW of America and Tanner Foust.
GTI/R wing extension is made of high-quality urethane and come with a black primer finish.
We do our best to keep these products in stock, but please be aware it could take two to three weeks before your products ship.
We recommend you consult with a professional body shop before attempting to install any aftermarket styling components.
- Test-fit all parts before painting.
- Minor finishing prep before paint is normal.
- Urethane parts can deform during shipping and may require the use of heat to return to original form.
